In this area, we aim to the development of intelligent systems in medicine. In particular, we are interested in developing knowledge-based systems/expert systems which will provide support to doctors in their decision making. We are also interested in developing learning systems, i.e. inductive learning systems, which will be able to derive new medical knowledge from patient’s records that have already been successfully diagnosed.

Partnership involves close research links with Universities, such as the Medical School at the University of Crete (http://www.med.uoc.gr/index_en.php).
