Artificial Intelligence and System Engineering Laboratory

The aims of the Artificial Intelligence and Systems Engineering (AISE) Lab is to meet the research and educational needs of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at all levels, such as undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral. AISE Lab contributes to the development of all kinds of scientific studies and participates in the provision of lifelong education and training services. In addition, AISE lab promotes scientific knowledge regarding the subjects of Artificial Intelligence and Systems Engineering with an emphasis on applied technological research and development in cutting-edge technologies, regarding software development, from the perspective of Artificial Intelligence and Systems Engineering. The laboratory’s research activities cover the entire software life cycle, from the description and analysis of requirements and specifications to its design, implementation, verification and maintenance. Of particular interest to the laboratory is also the development of open- source software, research standards, models, systems and tools, which cover various important research fields. Moreover, the laboratory undertakes specialized training of students and employees, as well as provision of consulting services in technological issues.

AISE Lab supports research and development on topics of Artificial Intelligence and Systems Engineering that focus on the practical training of students, on the development of Diploma and Master Thesis and on the Doctoral Program of the ECE department. In addition, AISE Lab cooperates with Research Centers, Institutes, and Universities in Greece and abroad, as well as with public and private organizations with the aim of solving real problems. Moreover, AISE lab develops and implements research and development activities in the context of funded national and European projects using cutting-edge open technologies in the following thematic areas which have significant technological impact and potential to sustain international collaboratin.
